En este artículo podrás descubrir si  los artistas tienen un don innato o su don es algo que se puede desarrollar con la práctica y la pasión.
Vamos a repasar algunos trucos de los grandes artistas que seguro te sorprenderán. ¿Comenzamos?

1.- El artista convierte el IMPULSO CREATIVO en ACCIÓN. Por tanto, un artista no existe si no crea.
Quizás tú seas una de esas personas que siente dentro el impulso de «hacer algo», de «aprender a pintar» o «con ganas de hacer cerámica». Eso quiere decir que dentro de tí, late el impulso creativo. El mismo impulso que sintieron todos los artistas a lo largo de la Historia, desde Praxíteles hasta Picasso. El mismo impulso. El tuyo no es menor ni peor que el de ellos. La única diferencia es que ellos alimentaron ese impulso y lo pusieron en acción.
¿Y por qué lo hicieron? Porque ellos comprendieron que la acción es el superpoder que convierte las ideas en realidad. Y todavía más: la acción, es lo que nos lleva a aprender, descubrir y alcanzar nuestro potencial más alto en todos los niveles del ser humano.

2.- El artista alimenta su impuso creativo con FORMACIÓN. ¿O es que todavía crees que los artistas son seres iluminados por la inspiración y que crean sin tener que aprender?
Si lees la biografía de cualquier gran artista, comprobarás que todos han tenido buenas formaciones y normalmente, durante muchos años. Algunos fueron aprendices en los talleres de otros artistas; otros, se formaron en grandes academias, universidades y escuelas; otros, que dicen ser «autodidactas» leen libros técnicos, hacen cursos online y preguntan sin parar a los profesores de arte de youtube u otras plataformas.
Todos los artistas tienen que aprender sobre materiales, herramientas, principios de composición, equilibrio, proporción, color, perspectiva… Y por supuesto, tienen que aprender cómo plasmar sus ideas y emociones para que el espectador capte el mensaje.

3.- El artista se relaciona con otros artistas. Lo de «dime con quien andas y te diré quien eres» aquí, tiene mucha importancia.
¿Te has dado cuenta de que todos los grandes artistas de la Historia se relacionaban con otros grandes artistas de la Historia? A veces, hasta creaban «movimientos artísticos».
Incluso los artistas poco sociables como Van Gogh o Sorolla, se relacionaron con otros artistas y creativos. Estas conexiones, además de ser un mundo inagotable de inspiración, ofrecen nuevas perspectivas y contagian con su pasión y energía. Rodearse de gente creativa enriquece tu vida y te permite expresar libremente tu propia creatividad.
Asi que, si quieres desarrollar tu talento artístico, tómate en serio lo de compartir tiempo y experiencias con otros estudiantes de arte y artistas.

4.- El artista echa más horas que… una tortuga con sueño.  ¡Que levante la mano quien crea que una buena pintura, escultura o cualquier otra obra artística se hace en dos días!

– Miguel Ángel tardó más tres años en terminar su David. Y eso que Miguel Ángel trabajaba 16 horas al día.
– Velázquez (o Juana, su esposa) tardó un año en terminar Las Meninas.
– Georgia O`Keefee, que trabajaba de mañana a noche, tardaba una media de 2 meses por cuadro.
– Gustave Klimt tardó un año en terminar El Beso.
– Algunas de las obras de Jackson Pollock tardaron meses en ser terminadas y eso que era pintura goteada.

Como ves, como en cualquier otro trabajo, el tiempo de práctica determina la maestría. Pero ¡OYE! si para tí el Arte es un hobby, no necesitas dedicar todo ese tiempo. Simplemente disfruta la práctica y no te frustres por no llegar enseguida al resultado que te gustaría. Sigue practicando y disfrutando. El resultado es la consecuencia de tu disfrute y tu práctica.

5.- Un artista siempre tiene a su alrededor materiales para trabajar. Parece obvio pero… ¿tienes en tu bolso al menos una libretita?
A menudo, las casas y talleres de los artistas, parecen llenos y desordenados. Eso es porque los artistas suelen rodearse de muchos materiales y tenerlos a la vista para que cuando surja una idea, enseguida la puedan llevar a la acción.
Tener los materiales metidos en un cajón no sirve de nada. Tampoco sirve tener el caballete detrás de la puerta o el barro bajo la mesa. Todo tiene que estar listo para usarse, porque la inspiración suele ser espontánea y efímera.
Además, los artistas suelen capturar las ideas, ya sea dentro o fuera del taller, en forma de apuntes y bocetos. ¡Por eso en el mundo hay miles de cuadernos de grandes artistas, que nos recuerdan lo importante que es no dejar que se escapen las ideas!
Y un detalle curioso: está comprobado que la calidad artística está unida a la cantidad. Es decir, que a más creación, más cosas de calidad. Asi que ¡manos a la obra!

2.- The artist nourishes their creative impulse with TRAINING. Or do you still believe that artists are beings enlightened by inspiration and create without needing to learn?
If you read the biography of any great artist, you will find that they all had solid training, often spanning many years.
Some were apprentices in the workshops of other artists, while others attended prestigious academies, universities, and schools. Even those who claim to be «self-taught» read technical books, take online courses, and constantly seek guidance from art teachers on platforms like YouTube.
All artists must learn about materials, tools, principles of composition, balance, proportion, color, perspective… And, of course, they must learn how to convey their ideas and emotions so that the viewer can grasp the message.

3.- The artist connects with other artists. The saying «tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are» holds great significance here.
Have you noticed that all the great artists in History were connected with other great artists? Sometimes, they even created entire art movements. Even less sociable artists like Van Gogh or Sorolla interacted with other artists and creatives.
These connections, in addition to being an endless source of inspiration, offer new perspectives and infuse you with their passion and energy. Surrounding yourself with creative people enriches your life and enables you to freely express your own creativity.

4.- The artist puts in more hours than… a sleepy turtle. Good art, be it a painting, sculpture, or any other artistic creation, is not made in two days!

• Velázquez (or his wife, Juana) took a year to complete Las Meninas.

5.- An artist always has materials on hand. It might seem obvious, but… do you have at least a small sketchbook in your bag?

Often, the homes and studios of artists appear cluttered and filled with materials. That’s because artists typically surround themselves with many materials and keep them in sight so that when an idea strikes, they can act on it immediately.
Keeping your materials tucked away in a drawer won’t do you any good. Having your easel behind the door or clay under the table won’t help either. Everything must be ready for use because inspiration is often spontaneous and fleeting.
Additionally, artists often capture their ideas, whether inside or outside the studio, in the form of notes and sketches. That’s why there are thousands of notebooks from great artists worldwide, reminding us of the importance of not letting ideas escape!
